Those who are coming to the Kansas City to watch the 2017 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships are in for a great experience. Aside from the on-ice competition, fans will be able to enjoy many activities off the ice.

U.S. Figure Skating and Crown Center Ice Terrace are partnering for SkateFest, free and open-to-the public skating lessons, on Monday, Jan. 16. For more information or to register, click here.

Friday, January 20
4-4:45 p.m. – Championship pairs (top four after short program)

Saturday, January 21
1:15-2 p.m. – Championship men (top four after short program)

Sunday, January 22
noon-12:45 p.m. – Championships ladies and ice dance medalists

Happy Hour with Brian Boitano
Join 1988 Olympic champion Brian Boitano for Happy Hour from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Cleaver & Cork, which is right across the street from Sprint Center (1333 Walnut St., KC, MO 64106)! Brian will be serving up his signature cocktail of the championships, KC Gold, as well as signing autographs and taking pictures (Brian loves selfies). This event is free and open to the public. The first 50 guests will receive a free pair of tickets to the men’s short program later that evening. For more information, click here.

Visit Kansas City Power & Light District (across the street from Sprint Center)
The Power & Light District is adjacent to Sprint Center. Several restaurants will offer F&B specials Jan. 19‐22. Prior to 5 p.m. at McFadden’s Sports Saloon, Pizza Bar, Cleaver & Cork, No Other Pub and Leinenkugel’s, receive 10 percent off food, $3 Miller Lite/Coors Light, $4 Select Cocktails and $5 Premium Cocktails. After 10 p.m., Leinenkugel’s will also offer BOGO food items.

Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer
The Ice Terrace at Crown Center is teaming up with The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation to Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™. With the support of local ice rinks, clubs, teams and individuals this unique fundraising benefit allows everyone to join in on the fun, whether you skate or not. Through peer‐to‐peer fundraising and community support, hundreds of individual fundraisers around the country are asking their network of peers to pledge their support through these events.
